Suburban Driving School

Suburban Driving School (SDS) is owned and operated by Michael DeMay and Christopher Stahl. We have over 30 years combined driver's education experience. Our classroom is in the Perinton Community Center at 1350 Turkhill Rd. Fairport, NY. Suburban Driving School has been in operation for over 28 years.

We are unique in that we are a driving school, but do not give behind the wheel driving lessons. We specialize in classroom discussion and instruction. We offer both the 5 Hr. Prelicensing Class for people with permits, as well as the 6 Hr. Point/Insurance Reduction - Defensive Driving class for people with licenses. We also offer the 8 hr. New York Safe Boating Course for people who wish to operate a personal watercraft or motorboat.

By not offering behind the wheel driving lessons, we can focus all of our expertise on classroom instruction.

Michael DeMay and Christopher Stahl know how to make classes "fun and informative." We teach real-life, everyday driving situations without showing bloody movies or using scare tactics. Some of the driving situations that are covered in our classes are:

the importance of being a defensive driver

Drivers who run red lights & STOP signs
